OrderWise ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to providing a transparent and privacy-first experience. This policy outlines how we handle data within our mobile ecosystem.

1. Information We Collect

We minimize data collection to ensure your privacy. No account creation is required for core functionality.

Anonymous Device ID: We generate a cryptographically secure, anonymous ID to track your lifetime savings and local preferences. This ID is never linked to your identity.
OCR Processing: Screenshots uploaded for price comparison are processed using secure OCR technology. We extract only transaction-relevant data (items, prices, taxes). We do not store original screenshots on our servers after processing.
Location Services: We request approximate location access (GPS/Cell-tower) to calculate delivery fees and show local "Food Rescue" deals in your city. Your real-time movement is never tracked.

2. How We Use Data

To provide instant price comparisons across food delivery platforms.
To identify and prioritize "Food Rescue" deals aimed at reducing local food waste.
To maintain an anonymized community database of price trends to help all users save.

3. Data Protection & Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. All communication between the app and our database is encrypted using industry-standard protocols. Anonymous price data is shared with the community to provide accurate trends.

4. Third-Party Platforms

When you click on a deal, you are redirected to third-party apps (like Swiggy or Zomato). Their respective privacy policies apply once you leave our app.

6. Data Deletion & Account Removal

OrderWise respects your right to control your personal data. Following Google Play's Data Safety requirements, we provide a transparent path for total data removal.

How to Request:

Email Support: Send an email to orderwise.app@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

What is Deleted:

Upon request, we will permanently scrub your user profile, saved price comparisons, and any data linked to your Google identity from our Supabase and Firebase ecosystems. This process is irreversible.

Retention Period:

Data is scrubbed from active production databases within 7 business days of verification.

8. Children's Privacy

OrderWise is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately for deletion.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
